Does anyone have any questions so far in the Peak Oil Homestead Project? For that matter, is anyone actually following along or is it too boring so far? ;) (I promise it will get more interesting soon!)
I love the project, and find it helpful now that I'm starting to get serious in planning a homestead, that I know what requirements I may be trying to fulfill. The wikipedia article on autonomous building expanded my idea of options for fulfilling the requirements. I'm leaning toward 200 member housing rather than single family though, like an apartment complex without walls
"If you build it, they will come." I'm collecting the papers to start an official non-profit co-op devoted to increasing its members self-sufficiency, even if its initial headquarters is my bedroom and its budget is fifty cents. By definition, if it grows it will contribute to the building of communities that Peak Oil Design intends

That sounds great. I imagine the hardest part is gathering all the folks together, at least in any sort of a rapid time frame. Maybe we need to do some exploring of strategies for the "advertising" our communities to the right folks?
Five years of oil production plateau I hope

Yep
Making an advertising plan seems to be the next step. I've started wading through all the licensing forms, regulations, and taxation requirements
If you have advertising ideas in mind, I'd be happy to discuss them. I'm going to start with Craigslist
I actually won't do this
I actually won't do this Co-op now, because I can just work with the organization that I came across thanks to EclipseNow, Relocalize.net
