No dishwasher

Our dishwasher isn't really broken, it just doesn't get things clean. So in the interest of not wasting water rewashing dishes, we have decided not to use it. This means we have a lot of dishes to wash by hand which is hard to keep up with since PE JR. requires a lot of attention:) I was trying to think how they kept up with hand washing dishes back in the day and I came to the realization that they just didn't have as many dishes! So our new plan is to wash whatever dish and utensil we have just used each time we use it. So far it seems to be helping with keeping the kitchen much cleaner and less overwhelming when it is dish washing time! Plus this way we aren't wasting lots of water washing and scrubbing, the gunk washes off easier when you do it right away. I love living simply, it just makes sense!

Who Needs a Dishwasher???

In all my days, I've used a dishwasher about a dozen times. That's one of the things that boggles my mind, when people say they're going to do the dishes, bologna. Placing dishes in a machine to wash isn't doing the dishes in my book. In addition how can someone bitch about having to do the dishes when they just put them in a machine, add some soap, push a button or two and walk away until the morning. People complain and consider this hard. Amazing!! Yeah I'm talkin' to you, I still don't get it. Here's some soap and a sponge, get to work son, I'll see you in the morning.
Oh yeah and having piles of dishes and no clean utensils because no one wants to do that "chore". Jesus, amazing.....
